FAQs
Who can provide a reference?
References can be provided by anyone who knows the applicant well and can speak to their character, achievements or suitability for the bursary. This can certainly include teachers from the school, but references from coaches, employers, community members, club representatives, or other appropriate referees are equally welcome.
What achievements can I include in my child's application?
In relation to achievements, we encourage applicants to include any and all achievements they feel are relevant and help tell their story. These may include school-based achievements such as academic, leadership, cultural, or service awards, as well as achievements outside of school, including sporting, community, artistic, or club-based involvement and accomplishments.
What should I consider when choosing which achievements to include?
Our advice is to include any achievements that you believe demonstrate the applicant's strengths, commitment, participation and contributions, both within and beyond the school community.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and waters, the Wulgurukaba, and that this country has been a place of learning and ceremony for tens of thousands of years. We also acknowledge the neighbouring language groups as brothers and sisters of the land. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. May we walk gently and peacefully on this land together.
